Lisbon Clinical Marathon

It is with great pleasure to inform you about the LISBON CLINICAL MARATHON which will be held in Lisbon, between the 6th and 9th of June 2019.

The Lisbon Clinical Marathon is an intensive reflexive dive into psychodynamic clinical work. For four days, participants will hear and discuss four theoretical papers on the theme MIND THE GAP: Gaps in the inner and outer world. The speakers: Howard Levine, Joshua Durban, Serge Frisch and Rui Aragão will present a paper on the topic and will also, during the four days, supervise 32 clinical case discussions organized in small groups.

This international event is organized by the Free Association, a non-profit organization moved by the desire to learn, founded by two candidates of the Portuguese Psychoanalytical Society, Csongor Juhos and Teresa Abreu. The main goal of the Free Association is to promote innovative opportunities of continuous learning in the field of psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.

The Lisbon Clinical Marathon is supported by the University Institute of Psychological, Social and Life Sciences (, Portugal’s oldest Psychology Faculty and by the Portuguese Psychoanalytical Society.
